About 2 Million Nigerian Students Sought University Admission, Less Than 500,000 Successful -Report

According to JAMB, 81,791 candidates were admitted into polytechnics; 59,498 admitted into colleges of education; and 585 got admission into 'Innovation Enterprise' institutions.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says less than half (443,624 out of 1,662,762) of Nigerian admission seekers who sat the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination were admitted into universities.

The figures were from JAMB weekly bulletin.
