Meanwhile, only 79 of the AVSEC personnel were deployed to Lagos, which is the busiest aerodrome in the country, while the other 528 personnel were posted to the other 20 airports across the country.
The Federal Government has deployed at least 120 Aviation Security personnel to the non-viable Katsina Airport out of the 727 engaged recently.
Government, through the Ministry of Aviation, had in September this year graduated 727 AVSEC and Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Services personnel in Kaduna State.
The graduation took place at the Service Development Centre, Afaka, Kaduna State, where Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation, said that the government would continue to improve on safety and security at the nation’s airports.
