The bullet track was through the floor of mouth, further on to enter the cranial cavity to cause a blowout fracture defect with the brain being eviscerated out of the skull, according to the report.

SaharaReporters had reported that Ogbu was shot in the head by a policeman while covering a protest by members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria on January 21, 2020.

In an attempt to cover up the incident, policemen, who took the victim's body to the mortuary, told attendants there that Ogbu was an accident victim. [story_link align="left"]77631[/story_link]

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), had last week written a letter to the Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Bala Ciroma, seeking for coroner's inquest into the circumstances surrounding the death of the journalist.

The victim's wife and family members have been demanding justice over his gruesome killing.
