BREAKING: Supreme Court Adjourns Hearing On Zamfara Governorship Election Until March 2

Chief Justice of Nigeria, Muhammed Tanko, while granting the application for adjournment by counsel to the respondents, Robert Clark, said some of the parties in the matter were not in the court and that they were not served necessary processes going by the record of the court.

The Supreme Court in Abuja on Tuesday adjourned hearing on the review of Zamfara State governorship election until March 2, 2020 to enable the court serve all parties involved in the case the processes.

Chief Justice of Nigeria, Muhammed Tanko, while granting the application for adjournment by counsel to the respondents, Robert Clark, said some of the parties in the matter were not in the court and that they were not served necessary processes going by the record of the court. 

The apex court had on May 2019 sacked all elected candidates of the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara during the 2019 general elections for not holding a credible primaries to select the party’s representatives.
