Third WHO Official, Two Others Test Positive For Coronavirus In Bauchi

This brings the total number of active cases of COVID -19 in the state to six, three of whom are officials of World Health Organisation.

A staff of the World Health Organisation and two other persons have been confirmed positive for Coronavirus in Bauchi State.

This brings the total number of active cases of COVID -19 in the state to six, three of whom are officials of World Health Organisation.

A WHO official had first tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday while a second official was confirmed positive on Tuesday.

According to Information Officer, Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Ibrahim Sani, the results were received from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Thursday night.

Sani said the other two cases were Lagos returnees.

“It is true that Bauchi has three new cases. As you know, so far, five patients have recovered and have been discharged.

“With this new development, there are now six active cases in the state with no death.”
