Buhari Holds Late Night Meetings With Governor Zulum And Tinubu Over Insecurity

The meetings were held after a series of violent attacks were reported across the country on Sunday and Monday.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night met with the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum.

According to reports, the meeting which was held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja centred on the security situation in Borno.

The President also reportedly had a separate meeting with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, and Bisi Akande, former interim chairman of the APC. 

The meetings were held after a series of violent attacks were reported across the country on Sunday and Monday.

For instance on Sunday, militants believed to belong to ISWAP overran an army base in Borno State, killing more than 30 soldiers before pulling back in the face of air strikes, sources said.
