It was gathered that the soldiers have however been arrested by the Tactical Unit of Anti-Cultism set up by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode.

SaharaReporters learnt that the soldier who was detained by the police was responsible for calling on his colleagues to rescue him from police custody.

Instead, they were overpowered, arrested, and taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department.

Osun State Police Command spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, saying, “The soldiers came to the station and behaved themselves in an unruly manner but they were not successful. Three of the soldiers have been arrested and investigation is ongoing at the SCID.”
