The movie according to them, would spark a cultural revolution which would challenge the ideals of gender, conformity and civil rights in Nigeria.

Nigerian activists were captured in the documentary discussing laws criminalising gay sex in Nigeria such as the 2013 Anti-LGBTQ law-the Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill (SSMPA).

It should also be noted that the Nigerian government has stipulated 14 years imprisonment for any person found guilty of such act.

They lamented that the law has been used to brutalise anyone seen as not conforming to Nigerian societal and cultural norms adding that various unjust arrests and police brutality had occurred.

They also added that their goal is to improve the circumstances of their own lives.

The documentary featured Nigerian cross dressers; James Brown, Denrele Edun and many others, who lament that the transgender community has been 'thrown out to survive by themselves'.

They therefore called on Nigerian underground community to stand firmly for their rights, adding that it is time for change.

A review of the movies stated that:

"The documentary follows two tight-knit groups of chosen families: In New York, a man named Micheal Ighodaro lives with his friends who are part of the Nigerian diaspora and works to advocate for the people and communities he left behind in Nigeria after having been attacked for his identity.

"It shows the tug of war between profits and public service by contrasting the civic-minded approach of Micheal, an organiser who splits time between Lagos and New York for his safety, with the actions of the prominent Nigerian activist James Brown. James wants his followers count to publicise the queer cause, but he also has ambitions to become a global influencer."

James Brown, while detesting the discrimination against transgenders in Nigeria, said they also have their rights like others.

"I want to encourage billions and zillions of people, telling them that they have rights. Do you know why? Because they're human!" he said.

He claimed that people should not be arrested because of their perceived sexuality, noting that it is about making a change and a difference.
