BREAKING: Court Orders Lawless Nigeria's Secret Police To Produce Detained Yoruba Nation Agitators By Next Thursday

The judge said there was merit in the application as he mandated the secret police to bring the revolutionary fighters to court on the next adjournment date.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to produce the thirteen (13) detained Yoruba Nation agitators on the next adjournment date, July 29.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu gave the order on Friday while ruling on the enforcement of fundamental rights suit filed by their lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, challenging their arrest and detention.

The judge said there was merit in the application as he mandated the secret police to bring the revolutionary fighters to court on the next adjournment date.

On July 1, DSS operatives stormed the residence of Yoruba secession agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho at Soka, Ibadan around 1 am, killing two of his associates and arresting about 13 persons.

Igboho, who escaped the raid, is currently facing trial in Benin Republic, where he was arrested on Monday.

DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya, said Igboho may run and hide as long as he wants, “the end of his shenanigans” was certain.

“Soon, he will not have a hiding place. His strength will sure fail him, the law will catch up with him. The law may be slow. But it will be steady,” he added.

After the raid of his Soka residence in Ibadan, presidential aide, Garba Shehu, declared Igboho was “conducting acts of terror and disturbing the peace”.

The presidential aide accused the Yoruba Nation proponent of attempting to build an armoury and planning to undermine the unity of the nation.
