Irabor condemned the incident which led to the death of two officers while another was abducted.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Lucky Irabor, has expressed concerns over the Tuesday’s invasion of the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna State by bandits on Tuesday.

While addressing newsmen about the attack in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, Irabor assured that security agencies were on top of the situation.
He explained that the incident did not happen like a normal banditry action adding that they were more determined that the madness must be brought to an end.
The CDS said, “The incident in Kaduna has been undertaken by bandits, but it’s more of an armed robber coming to your house. The infiltration didn’t come by virtue of the normal banditry action. But these are things we’re already looking at, and in due course, you’ll get the details.
“Suffice to say, any form of insecurity is a cause of worry for anyone. That’s why for us, we’re more determined that this madness must be brought to an end very swiftly.”
Similarly, the Kaduna State Government while condemning the attack in a statement by Samuel Aruwan, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, “The Kaduna State Government has received with sadness the report of the unfortunate security breach at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna in the early hours of Tuesday 24th August 2021. The security breach at the Academy led to the death of two personnel and abduction of one officer,” the statement reads.
“The government hereby appeals to the good citizens of the state to volunteer useful information to the military and security agencies in the campaign against banditry and kidnapping, in the state and beyond.
“On its part, the Kaduna State Government will continue to take actions considered imperative in the campaign against bandits throughout the state.”
