Coach of Nigeria's national men's football team known as Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has been sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Rohr was sacked following the Super Eagles uninspiring display in the recently concluded FIFA World Cup qualifiers where the team scrambled to top their group and qualify for the play-offs.

Rohr is expected to pocket a handsome compensation as a result of his dismissal by the NFF.
He was appointed head coach of the Super Eagles in August 2016 and led the team to a third-place finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
