Cult members believed to be students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, have demonstrated and displayed with diverse slangs and pictures in front of the school administrative building.

According to a video seen by SaharaReporters on Friday, the student members of the cult group dressed in yellow were seen in front of the Admin Building on campus.

The cultists both male and female students in their numbers seemed to be bold and daring of their actions as they yelled “Alora in yellow.”

Reports had stated a few days back that the polytechnic was no longer safe for students and members of staff as cultists had almost outnumbered students.

Some students and residents of Ede who spoke under the condition of anonymity expressed concerns that the management was toying with their lives.

“Federal Polytechnic Ede is no longer safe for students; the management was aware of the cultist display right in front of the Administrative building and no action was taken to arrest them. Are we safe?” the student asked.

Another student, who did not want his name in print, lamented on the worsening security in the school community.

He had said, “Just imagine, robbery everywhere, thugs attacking students is getting too much, the cultists’ violence is troubling; they go around with guns.”

“I witnessed one around my hostel last week, where the cultists attacked a guy believed to be one of them. They just constitute disturbance in the community and throw stones in their colleagues’ apartment who refuse to come out. If the management remains silent, then the members of the management are involved.”
