December 9, 2021

On November 30, Sanwo-Olu revealed plans by his government to organise a peace walk in December 2021 in commemoration of the #EndSARS movement.

The African Action Congress has taken a swipe at Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State over the failed peace walk earlier scheduled for December.

During a press briefing at the Government House in Alausa, Ikeja, the governor had said he would be leading the peace walk to herald the healing of the land.
But on Thursday, the governor cancelled the earlier announced peace walk which was scheduled for this month.
Reacting in a statement, the AAC state chapter Chairman, Kunle Ajayi, said, “We are not amazed that Babajide Sanwo-Olu has jettisoned the crude plans to 'walk for peace' on the blood of the #EndSARS massacres at LekkiTollGate and other parts of Lagos, while denying our fallen heroes justice.
“The security reports have shown that Sanwo-Olu and the other monsters in government would be stoned if they dare go on with the infamous and barbarian walks.
“Recall that at the Experience, a gospel concert, Sanwo-Olu's representatives were booed out. The governor is sharp to dodge the mass anger of people by 'standing down' the crude walk.
“Let it be known that all the efforts to rubbish the great report of the panel thus far have kissed the dust. All government agents and fake activists in Defend Lagos Coalitions; Team Lagos Thugs; and the uniformed bulldogs should all cover their shameless faces in horror. The movement has won again.
”The coconut generation is resolute to fight for another Nigeria away from this terrible one of war and want. We are united for justice and do everything to keep organizing for Revolutionary restructuring.
“We demand that all the recommendations of the #EndSARS panel report be implemented forthwith. We also reiterate our calls of the resignations of President Buhari and Governor Sanwo-Olu who orchestrated the Lekki massacre and Lagos carnages. We cannot continue to allow mass murderers dictate how our lives are being governed.
“We call on all #EndSARS protesters to keep mobilising and organizing. Our days shall come again.”
