Olokode said the shop belonged to one Olayinka Bashiru and that he was already changing the colour of the car from green to gold as instructed by Ibrahim.

Olokode, however, stated that the suspect would be charged to court after the completion of investigation into the case.

Ibrahim disclosed that on November 26, he met the car dealer and after negotiating the price for a Toyota Camry car arrived at an agreed sum of N2,650,000.

The suspect also revealed that he later transferred the sum of N2,650 to the First Bank account of the car dealer.

He said, “Unknowingly to him, he gave me the documents of the paper and I left.

“On Friday last week, the police came to my house to arrest me and I took them to where the car was.

“I had already taken the car to a painter in Iwo and instructed him to change the colour of the car from green to gold.”
