It was gathered that Senator Abbo felt his political acceptance was being threatened by the football competition, which Silas had been sponsoring.
Fresh evidence indicates that Senator Elisha Cliff Abbo had in November 2021 threatened violent attack on his former Personal Assistant, Silas Daniel.
Silas was battered and brutalised by thugs during a football game on December 23, in Vimtim, in the Mubo North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
SaharaReporters learnt that Senator Abbo who became infamous for assaulting a nursing mother in a sex toy shop in Abuja two years ago, allegedly instructed some thugs to manhandle Silas.
The evidence which SaharaReporters has obtained is a WhatsApp screenshot of Senator Abbo's reaction to plans by Silas to organise a cultural festival, including a football match.

In the screenshot showing Abbo's message in a group platform called Fali Unity, he had vehemently opposed the planned festival with a threat of security breakdown.
Abbo's screenshot read thus, "There will be festival in Fali land, unless it is organized by FACCODA (Fali Cultural Development Association) or our traditional leaders.
"The indiscipline in Fali land more especially among our kids have to end.
"If anyone is found organizing programs in the name of Fali without the blessings of FACCODA or our kings will be responsible for any security breakdown.
"We will not guarantee your security and we will not stop the organized youths of Fali land who vowed to end this recklessness and (to) put you in your position.
"Let this be a warning to those trying to make caricature of our collective cultural heritage."
Abbo is believed to have made good his threat on December 23, 2021 as reported by SaharaReporters that political thugs loyal to him allegedly assaulted Silas, causing him grievous injuries.
Silas, the estranged former Personal Assistant (PA) to Abbo, was attacked with machetes, daggers and clubs by thugs, allegedly on the order of the lawmaker.
An associate of the senator who spoke on condition of anonymity, told SaharaReporters that "they were to kill him."
"Violent threats against anyone who dares to stand in his (Abbo) way are quite familiar. He does not joke about things that injure his ego," the source added.
WIth this new evidence, it is expected that authorities should launch an investigation into the matter to bring those culpable to justice.
However, Silas said one Inspector Musa of the crimes unit at Mubi Division who took him to the hospital had refused to take his official complaint.
"He advised that I should wait until I'm out of the hospital. But I suspect foul play," he added.
When contacted to know if an investigation into the assault was ongoing, the spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said, "I read about the assault on social media."
"I'm now advising the victim to approach any nearby police station and enter a formal complaint to enable the police commence the investigation," he added.
