Terrorists Currently Attacking Travellers Along Zungeru-Kontogora Road In Niger State

Travellers are currently trapped on the road at Zungeru waiting for the bandits to be done with their operations.

Terrorists locally known as bandits, on Tuesday, launched an attack on travellers at Garun Gabas community along the Zungeru-Kontogora road in Niger State.

According to an eyewitness report, travellers are currently trapped on the road at Zungeru waiting for the bandits to be done with their operations.

The eyewitness, who spoke with TVC News, is said to be travelling from Minna to Kontogora.

Meanwhile, the bandits have shattered a car with bullets and the passengers dispossessed of their valuables.

Barely four days ago, three police officers were killed, while an unspecified number of others were abducted in a banditry raid of a police station in Niger State.

SaharaReporters learnt that the gunmen in a night raid stormed Ishau police station in the Paikoro Local Government Area of the state and carried out the attack.

The assailants also attacked 11 communities in the Kafin-koro area, which include Zubakpere, Kuna, Aboloso, Kudami, Dakolon Daji, Nugwazi, Amale, Adunu, Ishau and parts of Beni.

Reports say that in six of the communities, the gunmen kidnapped many people including a village head and four of his children as well as five women.
