The explosion reportedly errupted in Ijara Gawa Village in the Bichi Local Government Area of the state.
One person has been confirmed dead in a gas explosion in Kano State, SaharaReporters gathered.
The Kano State Fire Service, which confirmed the explosion named one Maikano Muhammad as the victim, saying "he was burnt beyond recognition. It also said one Abdullahi Usman who sustained burn injury was rescued in the inferno.
The explosion reportedly errupted in Ijara Gawa Village in the Bichi Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesperson for the fire service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.
“We received a distress call from Inspector Daiyabu Tukur at 07:46 am that a vehicle conveying cooking gas cylinders fell on the road and that one of the cylinders has exploded.
“We immediately sent our team to the scene to rescue the victims,” Abdullahi said.
