Bank Robbery: Edo Police Confirm Recovery Of N37million, Five Vehicles From Uromi

About N37million and five cars suspected to have been used for the operation were recovered from a bush.

The police in Edo State on Friday confirmed that some monies carted away during the deadly bank robbery in Uromi have been recovered.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Phillip Ogbadu, spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria.

 

On Thursday afternoon, around 20 armed men attacked four banks in the town, operating for two hours.

About N37million and five cars suspected to have been used for the operation were recovered from a bush.

The CP said the assailants abandoned the cash and vehicles after realising that the police were closing in.[story_link align="left"]105437[/story_link]

Edo deputy governor, Phillip Shaibu, visited Uromi under Esan North-East Local Government Area over the incident.

He consoled the people and business owners, assuring that the perpetrators would be apprehended.
