Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his gratitude to Russians, who are protesting the ongoing war in Ukraine.
More than 750 people have been arrested in cities across Russia for protesting against Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, which is now in its third week.
Independent monitoring group OVD-Info said police had arrested at least 756 people during demonstrations in 37 Russian cities – with about half of them in the Russian capital, Moscow.
In a Telegram video uploaded on Tuesday morning, Zelensky said, “I am grateful to those Russians who do not stop trying to convey the truth.”

He pointed to Maria Ovsyannikova, a Russian Television, Russia Channel One employee, who interrupted a major broadcast by holding an anti-war sign in prime time on Monday.
“NO WAR. Stop the war. Do not believe propaganda, they tell you lies here,” the sign read.
