Bandits Kill Four Persons, Kidnap Village Head, Housewives In Taraba

SaharaReporters was informed that the village head of Maigemu and three other persons, including two housewives were kidnapped at Kwatan Nanido and Maigemu villages in the Gassol Local Government Area of the state.

Bandits have killed four persons and abducted a village head in Taraba State, SaharaReporters learnt.

Four persons were also killed, it was learnt. 
It was gathered that the kidnapped victims were abducted on Tuesday, while four persons were murdered at Maigemu, Tinga and Kwamishina villages, all in the Gassol Local Government Area.
 
The bandits reportedly operated from a forest near River Benue and they have been terrorising villages located on both sides of the River Benue for weeks.
 
As further gathered, the bandits operated using motorcycles and forced fishermen and dry season farmers to abandon their businesses.
 
The spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Usman Abdullahi did not respond to telephone calls to confirm the incident.
