Armed men suspected to be bandits have again attacked the Hayin Danmani community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A resident of the area said the gunmen shot a man, Awwalu Mai Maciji, and abducted one Alhaji Hussaini, his wife and two children.
He said the gunmen, who were well-armed stormed Hayin Danmani around 3am on Monday morning.
“They gunned down two persons before whisking Alhaji Hussaini and his family to unknown destination.
“The bandits were about eight in number; they were armed with sophisticated weapons with which they shot sporadically into the air as they attacked the community,” the resident said.
The state police command could not yet be reached for comment on the latest attack.
Kaduna is one of the states with periodic incidences of killings by bandits.
The latest attack is coming few days after about 50 persons were killed and several others kidnapped in Giwa Local Government Area of the state.
