Panic As Agip Oil Pipeline Leaks In Bayelsa Community

The state Commissioner for Environment who visited the site, called on Agip for immediate action to stop the leakage, considering the risks involved.

Residents of Akalatiomo area between Azikoro and Okaka communities in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have been in a panic mode over a gas pipeline leakage in their community.

The Ogbeinbiri Obiobi 24 inch Gas pipeline which is said to be owned by Agip started leaking in the early hours of Monday.

Iselema Gbaranbiri, the state Commissioner for Environment who visited the site, called on Agip for immediate action to stop the leakage, considering the risks involved.
