Leke Adeboye, son and Personal Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has apologised to the pastors of the church for calling them goats.

On Sunday, the General Overseer, Adeboye had rued oil theft in the country, warning that Nigeria might go bankrupt if the trend was not checked.
Adeboye also raised concerns over the country’s economic future, warning that Nigeria’s debt to service revenue ratio might pose danger for decades.
His sermon was expected to be the only sermon for that Sunday as all pastors were expected to connect to the National Headquarters where the General Overseer would deliver his.
Reacting via an Instagram post, Leke had frowned on the actions of such pastors, calling them goats.
“Why would you go and preach another sermon after Daddy GO (General Overseer) had just finished speaking and preaching? You are not a son, you are a goat sir. Next Thanksgiving service, just do altar call, then Thanksgiving,” he wrote in a now deleted post on Instagram.
His outburst attracted public outrage, with many criticising him for making such comments.
SaharaReporters had on Wednesday reported that Leke was made to face a three-man panel and he was asked never to repeat such again.
A source had said one of the panelists is Leke's father-in-law adding that Leke arrogantly shunned them and initially said he was not going to apologise.
“Leke Adeboye was made to face a panel today for insulting pastors and calling them goats. The three-man panel unfortunately did not punish him,” the source had said.
In a statement released on his Instagram page on Thursday, Leke said though his comment was extreme but his intention was not to malign or insult the church.
He wrote, "I wish to use this medium to tender my unreserved apologies on the statement made from my social media handle about some of our esteemed pastors. The disciplinary measures taken by the mission are well received and this period will be used to reflect and introspect.
“I wish to crave your indulgence to please forgive my extreme statement which I wish to emphasise was absolutely not intended to insult or malign.
"I also wish to apologise profusely to the entire leadership and Pastors of our beloved Church who might have been hurt by this statement."
