Police Burst Delta Hotel Owner, Wife Using Sex Slaves, Forcing Underage Sex Workers To Swear An Oath

Ten other male suspects and ten female suspected prostitutes were also arrested during the raid.

The owner of Fagoma hotel at Aragba, Otokutu in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, Edwin Etareri and his wife, Mrs Grace Etareri, have been arrested over alleged child trafficking and use of sex slaves in the brothel.


The state police command last Friday rescued the alleged sex slaves including an underage girl.

The command also arrested 10 suspected female sex workers and 10 of their male colleagues during the sting operation in the brothel around midnight.


The underage girls were identified as Happiness Johnson,13; Esther Godspower, 21; Angel John, 22; Miracle Bishop, 19 and Happiness Isreal, 19.
 
However, confirming the incident was Delta State Police Command, led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
 
“Investigations revealed that one Joy ‘f’ surname unknown now at large trafficked the underage girls from Rivers State, took them to Patani where they were forced into taking an oath before they were brought to Otu-Jeremi and harboured by one Edwin Etareri, the owner of the said brothel and his wife, one Mrs Grace Etareri currently in custody.
 
“Ten other male suspects and ten female suspected prostitutes were also arrested during the raid.
 
“Investigation is ongoing,” the statement noted.
