How Anti-graft Agency, EFCC Officials Came In Through The Roof To Forcefully Arrest Okorocha – Daughter

Uloma, who spoke on Arise TV Morning Show, said the EFCC operatives after beating Okorocha’s son, broke the bulletproof door and went in through the roof to pick up the former Imo governor.

Uloma Nwosu, daughter of the senator representing Imo West and presidential aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Rochas Okorocha, has narrated how operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) forcefully entered through to roof to arrest her father.

Uloma, who spoke on Arise TV Morning Show, said the EFCC operatives after beating Okorocha’s son, broke the bulletproof door and went in through the roof to pick up the former Imo governor.

“They (EFCC) gave us an ultimatum of one hour and thirty minutes that if his excellency did not voluntarily come into their vehicle to leave, they were going to forcefully come into the house. At this point, we thought it was remotely impossible to do that because we thought in civil society before you barge into any residence, you must have a search warrant or any documents.

“And at this time, there were a lot of media representatives there and they did ask them if they had any documentation and they said they didn’t have any.

“The next thing we saw was they tear-gassed canisters at the people who were there, they started shooting sporadically at the house. In fact, my younger brother, Amen, who was there, they had beaten him up and the next thing they broke through the bulletproof door with big chunks of wood, I don’t where they got that from and then came in through the roof to pick up his excellency.”

According to Uloma, Okorocha’s lawyer also asked the operatives of the EFCC if they had any documents or search warrants but they said no but that some top operatives of the EFCC just wanted to have a talk with him. And they had been instructed to bring him in at all cost.

She said, “They said some of the top operatives of the EFCC just wanted to have a talk with his excellency and he (lawyer) asked them if they had initially called him, they said no, he further asked if they had a search warrant, they said no, or any papers, they said no.

“The learned SAN (Senior Advocate of Nigeria) then came back and informed his excellency of the situation, his excellency said he has no problem with that, however ‘I’m preparing for my screening today, can they let me go for this screening, as soon as I come back, I will honour their invitation’ and of course, they refused and told the SAN that they had been instructed to bring him at all cost to the headquarters and looking at the whole scenario it became more questionable.”
