Terrorists Attack Katsina Metropolis, Kidnap Eight Persons

The Spokesperson of the state police command, SP Gambo Isah, also confirmed the incident.

Suspected terrorists have reportedly attacked a community in Kastina State and kidnapped eight persons in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to Daily Post, the gunmen stormed Shola Quarters behind the Federal Medical Centre in the city capital, Katsina, around 4am on motorcycles.

However, no casualty was recorded during the terrorists' operation; some residents meanwhile got injured while trying to escape.

The Spokesperson of the state police command, SP Gambo Isah, also confirmed the incident.

He identified the abducted persons – all residents of Shola Quarters – as; Tanimu Adamu, Abdullahi Isiya, Isiya Rabiu, Ibrahim Adamu, Mannir Jayi and a woman who is yet to be identified.

But, Gambo noted that one of the kidnapped victims, Mannir Jayi, had escaped from the abductors' den and was helping the police with the investigations.
