Moses joined Spartak Moscow on a permanent deal in 2021 and was instrumental as the club won the Russian Cup last season.
Russian Premier League club, Sparta Moscow, have reportedly declared Victor Moses, former Super Eagles player, wanted after the winger failed to resume pre-season training as expected on Wednesday.
It is understood that the Russian side has already set up camp in Tarasovka ahead of the new season and has all the players in training camp except Moses.
The club's move, it is believed, was due to the player's failure to communicate why he has not turned up at the training camp as expected.
“Midfielder Victor Moses did not arrive at the team’s location. The club finds out the circumstances of this decision. The contract with the Nigerian player is not suspended,” reads a statement on the club’s website.
Moses joined Spartak Moscow on a permanent deal in 2021 and was instrumental as the club won the Russian Cup last season.
He scored seven goals and registered nine assists in 53 matches across all competitions for the Moscovites.
Moses joined Chelsea in 2012 from Wigan and went on to play 128 times for the Blues, scoring 18 goals, and winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.
He also had stints on loan at Liverpool, Stoke, West Ham, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan during his time with Chelsea.
The 30-year-old had 37 appearances for Nigeria and scored 12 goals. He played at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups and helped the Super Eagles win the African Nations Cup in 2013.
