Lawyers Seek Court Order To Disqualify Tinubu, Atiku, Obi From 2023 Elections

Tinubu, Atiku and Obi, are presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party respectively.

Three lawyers have approached the Federal High Court, Abuja seeking an order to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission to reject the nomination of Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, as presidential candidates in the 2023 general elections.
 
Tinubu, Atiku and Obi, are presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party respectively.

The plaintiffs, Ataguba Aboje, Oghenovo Otemu and Ahmed Yusuf, argued that the parties' candidates were unlawfully nominated by their respective political parties.
 
In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1004/2022, the lawyers listed INEC; Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) as 1st to 5th defendants respectively.
