Suspected Terrorists Kill Policeman, Abduct Chinese Man In Kwara

The terrorists also kidnapped at least 10 other passengers on the bus, whose vehicle registration number was 'XC167MUN'.

Suspected terrorists have reportedly killed a police officer and kidnapped a Chinese man during an attack on a quarry site in Shao Town of Moro Local Government of Kwara State.
The terrorists reportedly burnt the car allegedly used for the operation before fleeing.

A police officer injured in the attack is said to be receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.
The Spokesman for the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi confirmed the incident to Daily Post, saying the “command is working round the clock to get the victim rescued and perpetrators apprehended.”
“Meanwhile, the command is in a mourning mood over the killing of one of our operatives,” he added.
Ajayi further said that the state police commissioner, Tuesday Assayomo, has set up a special investigation team to investigate the matter.
“The people of Kwara State would be briefed accordingly of our progress please,” he said.

The terrorists also kidnapped at least 10 other passengers on the bus, whose vehicle registration number was 'XC167MUN'.
SaharaReporters gathered that one of those killed by the gunmen was the driver, simply identified as Akeem.
Okasanmi, while confirming the incident on Sunday, said, "On receipt of the information by the police in Obbo Aiyegunle, policemen, vigilantes, local hunters and available members of sister agencies on the ground immediately raced to the scene in an effort to get the victims rescued.”
