Gombe State Governor, Yahaya Loses 48-Year-Old Sister

Umaru, 48, reportedly died in the early hours of Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Gombe after a protracted but undisclosed ailment.

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on Sunday lost his younger sister, Aishatu Yahaya Umaru, SaharaReporters has learnt.
Umaru, 48, reportedly died in the early hours of Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Gombe after a protracted but undisclosed ailment.

The Director-General, Press Affairs to the Governor, Ismaila Uba Misilli, in a statement announced the death of the governor's younger sister.
”It is with total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah, that the family of the late Alhaji Yahaya Umaru regrets to announce the demise of our beloved sister, Hajiya Aishatu Yahaya Umaru who passed on today following a protracted illness.
“The funeral prayer (Janazah) for the late Aishatu will be held today at 1pm at the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe.  
“We pray to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and admit her in Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement read in part.
