A notorious terror kingpin, Ada Aleru, who was recently turbaned as the Sarkin Fulani (the chief of the Fulani) of the Yandoton Daji Emirate is still on wanted list, the Katsina State Police Command said on Monday.
Yandoton Daji is one of the two new emirates created by the Zamfara State government in May.

The decision to confer the title on the leader of a gang of bandits was premised on the role he played during a recent peace process locally arranged between the emirate and the bandits terrorising the Tsafe Local Government Area.
The turbaning ceremony was held at the palace of the Emir of Yandoton Daji and was attended by the council chairman of Tsafe Local Government and the state Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, DIG Ibrahim Mamman Tsafe (rtd).
There were reportedly policemen at the event to provide security to the “dignitaries.”
The bandits’ leader was the arrowhead of a deadly raid on Kadisau, a community in the Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, where about 52 people were killed.
He was declared wanted by the Katsina Police Command in 2019 with a bounty of N5million put on his head.
Speaking with Channels Television, Gambo Isah, spokesman for the police command, said the new Zamfara Chief is wanted for the killing of over 100 residents of Kadisau village in Faskari Local Government Area of the state.
