Terrorists Fail to Release 25 Kaduna Women, 15 Others Despite Collecting N9million Ransom

The bandits had contacted their families and demanded a sum of N100million for their release.

Bandits who kidnapped 25 women and others in three communities within Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have refused to release their victims despite collecting N9million as ransom.
The terrorists on more than 30 motorbikes had on June 30 stormed the villages and murdered over 20 residents, before kidnapping the victims.

A source told SaharaReporters that the bandits later contacted their families and demanded a sum of N100million for their release.
He said the families were able to raise N9million which was sent to the gunmen, but they had refused to release the victims.
“The kidnappers have refused to release the 40 people including 25 women after paying them N9million as ransom,” the source said.
In recent months, Kaduna has witnessed a spate of violent attacks which has led to killings and abduction of residents.
On March 28, a Kaduna-bound train was attacked by gunmen, which led to the death of eight people. Many persons were also kidnapped.
Some of the abducted people have regained their freedom while others are still being held captive by the terrorists.
Days after the train attack, 11 soldiers were killed in an attack by gunmen on a military base in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the state.
