The governor explained that the incident happened recently while he was away from the state on a trip outside the country.
While he expressed worry that the terrorists were hindering the farmers from engaging in their livelihood, he added that the attackers were also raping both male and female victims.
Ortom urged the federal government to live up to expectation as things were getting worse as far security of the country was concerned.
“Nine people were killed in my own local government while I was away. It’s rainy season and these people who are supposed to be in their farms but they were killed there,” he said.
SaharaReporters had on Monday reported that Ortom slammed the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress government over the increasing insecurity situation saying the recent terrorists’ threat to kidnap the president showed there was no government in the country.
Ortom had stated this while reacting to a video trending on social media where bandits were flogging Kaduna-bound train attack victims and their threat to kidnap the president and the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
