Aboyeji was also alleged to have taken over 666 hectares of land in Edu and Museyo communities.

The General Manager of New Towns Development Authority (NTDA), Tpl. Olakunle John Aboyeji has been accused of gross impersonation and assault in matters involving some landed properties in Lagos.

He was accused of unlawful allocation for kickback of over 200 Hectares of land belonging to Okegbomosheye community in Epe metropolitan area, another unlawful allocation of Edu Family land and that of Mayunre Village in disrespect of a Supreme Court Judgement.

Museyo community is also said to be angry as Aboyeji allegedly stormed the community recently with bulldozers to unlawfully demolish people's properties in other to forcefully take over their land, giving possession to Itunu - Veritasi, Aiyetoro Landmark Ltd and DPK, whom are all allegedly fronting for him (Aboyeji). Community members believed Aboyeji is working for Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State.

Aboyeji was also alleged to have taken over 666 hectares of land in Edu and Museyo communities. About three months ago after an inconclusive meeting with the Baale (traditional leader) of the community, Adeyemi Museyo claimed to have acquired the land for Aiyetoro Scheme.

“Just of recent, this same John Aboyeji resurfaced by illegally grabbing another 20 hectares of land in the same community making the real owners of the land confused and to lose confidence in their community leader, which forced them to embark on a massive protest on Saturday, July 30, 2022, where the Baale (traditional leader) denied reaching an agreement or signing any document with Aboyeji to take over their land,” a community member said.

The protesters during Saturday’s protest called for government intervention in the matter.

Reacting, Adeyemi Museyo confirmed that the NTDA boss met with him in 2021 and that there was no agreement. He also said no document was signed.

He also denied taking money from the NTDA boss for the acquisition of the community land.

“I know John Aboyeji, the director of NTDA. I didn't know him before until when he came around last year and there was no agreement between us for him to acquire our land. I don’t know the Bode Agoro you are talking about and there is no agreement between us but most of the companies Bode Agoro and Aboyeji are allocating, our land to had confessed to us that the State officials are taking N25 million kickback per hectare to their individual accounts aside from the money paid into the state government and we have the conversation on record,” he said.

“By the special grace of God, I can boldly stand before anybody anywhere to say that I didn’t sign any agreement with anyone to acquire our land. DPK, Itunu and Aiyetoro Landmark Limited have been using our land to defraud innocent land buyers and we have been telling them that the state has no right to sell our land.”

He, however, pleaded to the Attorney General of the Lagos State Government to come to their rescue before Aboyeji and his crew sold all their land.

“I am calling on the Attorney General of the Lagos State to advise and also for his immediate intervention as the governor has been closing his eyes while his subordinates are illegally hijacking our land,” he added.

“It is no longer funny as the owners of the land believed that I was the one selling the land. I am again using this opportunity to plead with the Executive Governor of Lagos State to consider his pledge to Lagosians because I don’t want John Aboyeji and Agoro and his people to come to this land again.

“I am a man of peace, I don’t want violence or engage in a combat with those who NTDA are bringing here, you can see my people here, as soon as possible. I want the governor to address these issues of state sponsoring land-grabbing. I don’t know anyone called DPK, Veritasi or Itunu, let alone selling our land to them.

“I was alleged to have collected a huge amount of millions from the said DPK to let go off our land but my question is that, when was that and by which means did I collect the money? Is it through cash or bank transfer? I didn’t collect money from anybody and that is why I asked the above question.”
