The deceased reportedly had a severe asthma attack on Thursday and was rushed to the school’s medical centre.

A student of the Nigerian Law School, Lagos State Campus, Nnenna Amadi, has passed on due to alleged negligence from the school’s medical centre.

The deceased reportedly had a severe asthma attack on Thursday and was rushed to the school’s medical centre.

According to her colleagues, the health centre’s response to her was not good enough as the nurses on duty claimed they did not have oxygen.

“@OlumideAkpata, No Nigerian Law School student is talking about this on Twitter because they are busy reading for exams. A student of NLS, Lagos died yesterday due to the lack of oxygen in the campus clinic,” one of the students said while calling on NBA leadership to investigate the incident.

“The students are scared. NLS is not making things better. Reassure the students there. Let them know that if anything happens to them, they will be fine.

“3 bed spaces in the clinic is not reassuring. An under-equipped clinic is not reassuring. Blaming the deceased for being stressed about NLS is not reassuring. Telling the students that electricity supply will be reduced to lessen reading time and prevent stress is not reassuring!

“They are already stressed from knowing that the lowest grade will be the determining grade. There's no way they can stop the creeping stress.

“Thus, I beseech you @OlumideAkpata, as the vibrant President of the NBA that you are. - Reassure students. - Investigate the death. -Take measures to prevent future occurrences. - Do other things that you consider compassionate and helpful for the students of the NLS. Thank you.”
