Jounwiro disclosed this while addressing journalists on Sunday night, urging the state government and other relevant bodies to do everything possible to ensure the culprits are brought to justice.

Ali Mohammed Jounwiro, the Chairman of the Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN), Kwara State chapter, has stated that nine people were killed, 450 cows and N6million were lost during the clash with the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC).
Jounwiro disclosed this while addressing journalists on Sunday night, urging the state government and other relevant bodies to do everything possible to ensure the culprits are brought to justice.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that no fewer than four people were killed in the clash between cattle dealers and members of the OPC in Ajase, Irepodun Local Government on Friday.
Some commercial vehicles and passengers plying the area were also caught in the melee that lasted for hours.
On Saturday, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq paid a visit to the market and assured the Fulani community that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
Ajayi Okasanmi, spokesman for the Kwara State Police Command, told SaharaReporters that no arrests had been made.
However, in response to the GAFDAN chairman’s accusation, the Kwara State Coordinator of the OPC, Ganiyu Oladipupo, stated that his party's members were not involved in the crisis.
He called Jounwiro's claim that the OPC murdered nine cattle dealers “a blatant lie.”
