Seven Family Members Die After Dinner In Zamfara State

At least seven persons from one family have reportedly died after eating a meal locally called “dambu” for dinner in Zamfara State, SaharaReporters has learnt.

The horrific incident happened on Monday at Danbaza village in the Maradun Local Government Area of the State.

The Spokesperson for the Zamfara State police command, Mohammed Shehu, told journalists that the command had begun an investigation into the cause of the deaths.

“The incident happened on Monday immediately after the family took the meal prepared as their dinner.

“The police have taken samples of the meal for analysis, and I assure the general public that results will be released to newsmen", he said.
