BREAKING: At Least Two Trapped As Two-Storey Building Collapses In Nigeria’s Capital, Abuja

A two-storey building under construction in 2.2 in Kubwa, Bwari local government area of Abuja collapsed in the late hours of Thursday.

SaharaReporters gathered that six people have been rescued while at least two people were trapped.

The incident occurred at about 11:00 p.m. when the building suffered a total collapse, leaving some its occupants, who were workers at the site, injured.

One of the survivors told SaharaReporters that the security officer at the site, popularly called Baba, was still in the building with a boy suspected to be his son.

"Baba and Bolaji are still inside.

"The material used in the building is not strong at all," he said.

 

 

 

SaharaReporters also gathered that the owner of Hotel De Bently at Utako in Abuja owns the building.
