Bandits suspected to be Islamic terrorists have killed a Nigerian soldier guarding a farm in Anchau village of Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted two people.

The two abductees are a Zimbabwe national and a Nigerian, according to Tribune.

The paper quoted its source to have said, “Bandits attacked and killed a soldier working in a farm company. They also kidnapped one Mr Charles Choko from Zimbabwe and one Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano State.”

The source further noted that security had been deployed to the village, adding "a team of security personnel were sighted on Friday ‎going inside the bush apparently to rescue the victims."

Terrorists have continued to assault communities in the state, with the security agencies making frantic efforts to curtail the excesses of the criminals.

SaharaReporters during the week reported that the military rescued three kidnap victims at Manini village in Kaduna State.

The victims were rescued along Pole Wire-Birnin Gwari Road, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.

The rescued victims comprised two adult males and an elderly woman, who according to a statement by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, had been moved to Kaduna town.
