Nigerian actor, Uche Maduagwu, has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to investigate male actors in the country.

Maduagwu urged the anti-graft and anti-narcotic agencies to investigate his male colleagues in Nigeria's popular Nollywood industry below 38 who buy mansions.

He asked the agencies to ascertain their source of wealth.

The actor who made the call on his Instagram page on Sunday claimed that some Nigerian actors, especially male actors deceive their fans about the source of their wealth.

According to him, there is no money in the movie industry as some actors make it appear.

Maduagwu wrote, “EFCC and NDLEA should invite any male Nollywood actor below the age of 38, who buys a mansion.

"Not all that glitters na gold, nibo leti ri Owo (Where did you get money)? Only male actors like uncle Jim Iyke wey get known endorsements and a selected few older actors fit afford a mansion.

"We need to educate our fans properly. No money for this industry, na packaging everyone dey do but some few are trying to make people believe our industry dey flow with dollars and diamonds."
