AAC was poised to take governance from people whom he described were deceiving people in Enugu State.

The African Action Congress (AAC) will unveil its deputy governorship candidate for the Enugu State 2023 governorship election by next week Friday ahead of the campaigns.

The AAC governorship candidate, Ray Kene Ogbodo, disclosed this on Friday, while briefing journalists on the programmes of the party ahead of the campaign that would start by the last week of September.

Ogbodo disclosed that the party would pick the deputy from Enugu North Senatorial district.

He vowed that the AAC was poised to take governance from people whom he described were deceiving people in Enugu State, and deliver a decent and better life for "our people languishing in abject poverty of the mind, body and soul.”

Ogbodo said after his emergence as governorship candidate from the Enugu East senatorial district, the party considered it a worthy choice to pick his running mate from the Greater Nsukka Zone for the March 11, 2023 Enugu gubernatorial election.

"We can today confirm that such promise is now a reality. Enugu AAC did not only choose a Deputy from Nsukka Zone, but picked a reputable, reliable, credible and undented personality. A full AAC party man, a successful businessman, kindhearted and a goal oriented fellow. Him paired together with Ray Ogbodo, that will be a resounding victory for AAC in Enugu State come March 11, 2023,” he said.

Ogbodo had emerged the governorship candidate from a keenly contested primary. He had declared that his major trust of governance if elected would be primarily to reposition the state on the part of growth through education.

The management expert vowed to give free education at primary and secondary school levels, while facilitating provision of grants to university students.

He equally promised to improve security and create the enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

On health, Ogbodo, promised to offer free medicare services to citizens and to ensure that people had a decent life, as well as provide opportunity for youths to discover their talents and be meaningful for themselves.

Ogbodo expressed optimism that he would end the era of recycled politicians who had hijacked, suppressed, oppressed and lost touch with the people.

He promised that AAC would deliver a decent and better life for Ndi Enugu.
