2023 Elections: Atiku's Presidency Will Be Transition Of Power From Disaster To Disaster, Revival Of Looting, Factional Ohanaeze Warns Nigerians

The organisation alleged that "Atiku's Presidency will be a revival of looting and re-looting of Nigeria's remaining assets and treasure.

The Chidi Ibeh-led Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has urged Nigerians not to vote for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election.

Atiku is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A statement by the Secretary General of the pan-Igbo group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro on Thursday alerted Nigerians that "thieves and looters are about to gain access to State House Aso Rock villa trotting on ethnic chauvinism and Fulani jingoism".

The organisation alleged that "Atiku's Presidency will be a revival of looting and re-looting of Nigeria's remaining assets and treasure, a man who does not believe in Nigeria and is seen as a Cameroonian should have no business in the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in 2023."

According to the statement, the "assemblage of looters and marauders in his camp speaks volumes of what would happen in his desperation to ride on unenlightened Northerners to gain access to power and Nigerians must rise and halt the return of nosy politicians who are Imperial looters to Aso Rock in 2023".

It knocked the former Vice President for saying he will unify Nigeria when he could not unify the PDP, with the party having an internal crisis as a fallout of its presidential primary election in May.

It said, "Atiku Abubakar and his cronies have craftily conceived a masterpiece by gambling on the ignorance of the unenlightened Northern populace in alliance with Aso Rock cartels to cruise to power in 2023 but the only impediments and hurdles are how to hoodwink and trick the Southeast and Niger/ Delta voters into the blasphemous union of looters.

"Nigerians know that before the 2003 elections, former President Olusegun Obasanjo lost control of the PDP party structure to his erstwhile Vice President Atiku Abubakar when the latter allegedly used the then Governors to bolster his chances of winning the 2003 elections against President Obasanjo.

"It's an open secret that Obasanjo knelt and stooped low to beg Atiku Abubakar, his deputy before he could return and win his re-election in 2003, Obasanjo should open up to Nigerians, and tell them the truth about what transpired in the Privatization exercise led by Atiku Abubakar during his tenure."

It further states, "A man who is claiming to unify the country but couldn't find any possible way to unify the PDP, a man who has dismissed the opportunity for a southerner to replace Iyorchia Ayu as PDP National Chairman rather he plotted the return of Wabara to spite the southeast who is a champion of anti southeast agendas.

"If Obasanjo could kneel for Atiku his deputy in 2003 while is Atiku finding impossible to beg Southern and Middle Belt Governors and leaders, who are resisting the injustices and atrocities committed by Atiku Abubakar by arm twisting the PDP zoning principles that favor the southeast for his gains, Nigerians should halt Atiku from becoming Buhari's successor which portends a transition of power from Northerner to another Northerner, from a Fulani to another Fulani, from Muslim to another Muslim, from disaster to disaster in 2023."
