The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has said the Nigerian police have become a VIP unit.

Sowore said that men and officers of the Nigeria Police Force under the VIP unit should be restored as a public safety force.

Attached to the video of the brutalised policewoman from the Force Headquarters, the #RevolutionNow Convener on Thursday morning wrote on his Twitter page, “This is the reason @PoliceNG must be removed from its ignoble role as a VVIP protection unit and restored as a public safety force.”

Demanding the arrest of the professor and justice for the victimised police officer, Sowore added, “This is despicable treatment meted to a law officer. Justice must be done. The IGP must arrest/prosecute Prof. Dike Zainab.”

SaharaReporters earlier reported that Moses had been admitted to hospital for medical treatment after she was allegedly tortured on the order of her boss.

From the viral video of the incident seen by SaharaRepoters, the incident occurred at the Area 11 axis of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The police said Duke has been arrested.
