There is uncertainty as another building has collapsed in Lagos.

The collapsed building is located at Sonuga Street, Palm Avenue in the Mushin area of the state.

 

The incident was confirmed to The Punch on Friday by the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyinyolu.

 

Oke-Osanyinyolu, said, “A building has collapsed in the Mushin few minutes ago. The rescue operation is ongoing.”

 

Oke-Osanyinyolu could not confirm if anyone was trapped inside the building or if there was any casualty at the time of filing this report.

There have been many cases of building collapse in Lagos.

On Sunday, September 4, a seven-storey building under construction at Oba Idowu Oniru Street on Victoria Island collapsed, killing two persons.

On September 10, 2020, a storey building partially collapsed at No 26, Afolabi Alasia Street, Gaskiya Road, Ijora-Badia, Lagos State.
