Ethiopian Airlines has emerged as the preferred bidder of the Nigeria Air, following a successful bid.
The Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, stated this during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, PUNCH reports.
Ethiopian Airlines would have 49 percent equity while the other consortium will hold 46 percent with the Federal Government left with 5 percent equity.
The Minister also disclosed that Ethiopian Airline was the only airline that met the bidding close date and also met the evaluation criteria.
According to the minister, the Federal Government will have only 5 per cent equity of the Carrier.
He added that he would not disclose the identities of others who tried to submit their bid after the deadline but failed.
