Identities Of Gunmen Who Attacked Nigerian Police, Army At Enugu Checkpoint Revealed

SaharaReporters had reported that unidentified gunmen attacked combined security checkpoint that had witnessed several attacks in past on Tuesday morning killing undisclosed number of security personnel.
 

There are indications that two of the gunmen that attacked the Joint Operation checkpoint at Obeagu-Amodu along Amechi-Agbani Road in Nkanu West Local Government Area were neutralised by security agents.

It was gathered on Wednesday that two of the hoodlums who drove to the checkpoint in two Lexus Jeeps and one Toyota Sienna were neutralised by the firepower of the security agents.
A security tracking platform, Eons Intelligence shared the faces of the hoodlums that were neutralised by the fire power of the security agents during the unprovoked attack.
The platform shared the pictures of two gunmen neutralised with picture of ash Lexus jeep and shells of cartages on the ground in its twitter handle @eonsintelligence.
It wrote in the tweet: "Report indicates there was an attack on a joint operation checkpoint at Amodu community on Amodu Road in Nkanu West Local Government Area on Tuesday 27th September 2022 at about 0800hrs.
"The hoodlums stormed the checkpoint in two Lexus Jeeps and one Toyota Sienna and reportedly opened fire at the combined team of Police and military which subsequently led to a gun duel that lasted for some minutes.
"Amid the attack, the operatives neutralized some of the hoodlums while most of them escaped the scene of the incident with fatal gunshot injuries."
However, SaharaReporters could not independently verify the location where and when the pictures were taken.
SaharaReporters had earlier reported that the Nigerian police in collections with other security agencies had launched manhunt of the fleeing hoodlums.
Meanwhile, security agencies had reportedly hounded young men in communities located along the Amechi-Agbani road for reprisal.
