According to Oshimhole, Buhari and Lalong attended the United Nations General Assembly.

A Deputy Director of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole has said he does not know the whereabouts of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the party.

The former Edo governor during an interview on Channels TV Politics Today on Wednesday said he was not sure if Tinubu was in Nigeria or not.

“I don’t report to him every day, I’m not sure if he’s around or not. When the campaign council is inaugurated and my office is activated, that is yet to be done,” Oshiomhole said.

Oshiomhole said the APC campaign council had yet to be inaugurated because the Chairman and Director-General of the council, President Muhammadu Buhari and Plateau Governor Simon Lalong respectively were away in New York, US.

According to Oshimhole, Buhari and Lalong attended the United Nations General Assembly.

He, however, noted that though Buhari was back in the country, Lalong was still away.

SaharaReporters exclusively reported on Monday that Tinubu had left Nigeria to see his doctors in London, United Kingdom.

According to multiple sources, Tinubu left Nigeria at midnight on Saturday for London.

The former governor was expected to see his doctors at a Central London Clinic on Monday.

“Our principal, Tinubu is sick and tired. He is expected to see his doctors in London today at a Central London Clinic,” a source had told SaharaReporters.

“He left Nigeria 12 midnight on Saturday. He ought to have launched the Presidential Campaign Council today but it was postponed till Wednesday for President Muhammadu Buhari to return from the US. However, it has now been postponed indefinitely.

“There is mass disaffection within the party currently."

The report added that the APC had to postpone the inauguration of its 422- member presidential campaign council (PCC) earlier scheduled for Monday, and later for Wednesday.
