Terrorists Kill Customs Officer In President Buhari’s Home State, Katsina

September 29, 2022

The deceased officer was identified as AIC Abueh.

Some terrorists have attacked a joint security checkpoint along Katsina-Jibia Road, killing an officer of the Nigerian Customs Service.

The deceased officer was identified as AIC Abueh.

SaharaReporters learnt that the scores of motorbike-riding bandits carried out the attack early morning on Thursday.

“The bandits attacked customs officers patrolling along Jibia/Katsina Road in Katsina State, killing one AIC Abueh. May heaven his soul rest in peace,” a source told SaharaReporters.

“The terrorists were heavily armed and the attack lasted for some time. They were not challenged by security operatives the whole time,” another source said.

President Muhammadu Buhari is from Daura in Katsina but that has not deterred the terrorists from killing, raping and kidnapping residents at will.

In July, some residents of Shola Quarters in the state protested against the incessant killings and abductions in the area.

The protesters displayed placards and called on the government to quickly provide security in the community.
