Some Nigerians have been asking about the whereabouts of the APC candidate after his absence at an event on Thursday meant for the signing of a peace pact ahead of the 2023 elections in Abuja.

A member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Ayo Oyalowo says the candidate of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently resting in London.

Some Nigerians have been asking about the whereabouts of the APC candidate after his absence at an event on Thursday meant for the signing of a peace pact ahead of the 2023 elections in Abuja.

Speaking on Arise TV, Oyalowo claims Tinubu has been working tirelessly and was not able to rest in Lagos or Abuja, hence his foreign trip.

He said, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in London. He cannot rest in Lagos, they will not let him rest, so he came into Abuja most of the time, they will still not let him rest. This man has been working for an average of 20 hours in the 24 hours in each day.”

SaharaReporters exclusively reported on Monday that Tinubu had left Nigeria to see his doctors in London, United Kingdom.

According to multiple sources, he left Nigeria at midnight on Saturday for London.

The former governor was expected to see his doctors at a Central London Clinic on Monday.

“Our principal, Tinubu is sick and tired. He is expected to see his doctors in London today at a Central London Clinic,” a source had told SaharaReporters.

“He left Nigeria at 12 midnight on Saturday. He ought to have launched the Presidential Campaign Council today but it was postponed till Wednesday for President Muhammadu Buhari to return from the US. However, it has now been postponed indefinitely.

“There is mass disaffection within the party currently."

The report added that the APC had to postpone indefinitely the inauguration of its 422-member presidential campaign council (PCC) earlier scheduled for Monday, and later for Wednesday.
