King Charles III will host South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in the United Kingdom on a State Visit for three days.

It will be the first state visit by the leader of a Commonwealth member during King Charles III reign.

Ramaphosa has accepted the invitation for a state visit from November 22-24, Buckingham Palace said Monday. The South African leader will be accompanied by his wife, Dr. Tshepo Motsepe.

“President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa has accepted an invitation from The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from 22nd to 24th November 2022.

“Further details will be released in due course,” the statement by the Royal Family said.

Charles has visited South Africa on several times, including during Nelson Mandela’s funeral in 2013.

Princes William and Harry have also visited South Africa a number of times.
